It is too hard to find quality childcare in this City, & we have to do more to support our working families. After housing (and yes, we need more housing for families), childcare can be the most significant cost for families. That's if you can even find childcare near your home.
Today we opened a new childcare center at Natalie Gubb Commons, which will serve 60 kids, with at least 50% of them being from low-income families. This just one of the over *30 new childcare centers* that the City is funding that will open in the next few years.pic.twitter.com/Bq6dKOOZjB
These new centers will help hundreds of families have a safe, affordable, nurturing place for their kids. Thank you to Board President @NormanYeeSF for helping to lead this effort to make our City better for families.
