Too bad we couldn’t have done this for the already homeless population in Sf.
-
This is a temporary activation through Friday at a private location in coordination with the American Red Cross. We're adding 1,000 new shelter beds for homeless residents, and have already opened 346 beds, with 444 under construction.

Thank you Mayor! Where are the animals being sheltered for those coming to SF?

We're actively working on additional sites right now, including for animals. More to come.

It's usually a joint operation. Commonly in disasters the local jurisdiction identifies the need and locations, a church or school provides the space, and the red cross runs the operations
