Conservatorship is the humane solution when people are suffering from severe mental illness and addiction on our streets, and this legislation gives us the tools we need to take action. Thank you @Scott_Wiener and @RafaelMandelman for your leadership!https://www.sfchronicle.com/politics/article/SF-may-compel-more-severely-mentally-ill-people-14487044.php …

We've funded 200 new treatment beds and we're reforming our behavioral health treatment system (https://medium.com/@LondonBreed/fixing-the-behavioral-health-crisis-on-our-streets-8436e87a6344 …). This is about intervening to help people who are unable to help themselves so they don't continue to suffer the street.

I know yall are working on alot of these elements. I support some of them. But these solutions are centered on the outcomes for the rest of us, not people experiencing crisis. R we going to make sure if you force conserve someone they are not turned out on the street n scrubs?

How then, will we not be displacing others on waitlists? I'm all for people getting help they need. I think if you housed people with supportive housing (like I was) first, the healing will flow. When housing is secondary then hope stagnates
