Thanks Mayor. That street is 6 lanes wide. Why? Can we remove 2-3 of those vehicle lanes, which has been proven to reduce vehicle speeds? That way the street is safer even when SFPD isn't out issuing tickets.

All meaningless unless you restrict the number of
@Uber and@lyft taxis in the city. Why won’t you? Seems odd?@AaronPeskin@SupStefani@TheMarinaTimesThanks. Twitter will use this to make your timeline better. UndoUndo

I agree with
@ptraughber. Some of SF's most dangerous streets are also the widest streets. Seems like a common sense improvement would be to take away a lane to use as a protected bike lane and/or widen the sidewalk. -
Agreed. I think we're making progress on this across SoMa. 5th and 6th Street include lane reductions, Howard Street now is down to 2 lanes (from 3) on segments, Brannan went from 4 to 2 total travel lanes.

What about open drug use? Any increase in enforcement planned? Asking for a friend.
-
No enforcement planned there bc the drug users can't pay. It's all about the money, not the citizens.

Make sure you get those double-parkers, and people who block lanes instead of using the turn lane, too. So dangerous.
