Sprawl is not sustainable. Mega commutes are not sustainable. We have to say yes to new housing.https://www.sfchronicle.com/climate/article/Despite-climate-crisis-California-continues-to-14454013.php …

Yet Orinda and Lafayette refuse any new housing. We all pay for their BART stations but no one else can live there. Talk to Gavin and get it done.

You have to gut the housing restrictions/regulations and end the oversight of the supervisors yo decide who gets to build

We need high-speed rail to reduce commute times and provide access to affordable housing. If there was high speed rail from Fresno to SF this would be a moot point.

It will just make more sprawl and energy consumption, and raise living costs in more-distant locations. The problem is growth - clamp down on it.

Sprawl is not the problem . An integrated policy for environment and community development needs to see economies of usage in resources .

Ideally, SF could replace thousands of low-density, poor quality single family homes with high-density, high-quality mixed use properties.
