The status quo on homelessness is not acceptable and doing nothing is not an option. We need to continue to build more Nav Centers, more affordable housing, more permanent supportive housing, and open more treatment beds so we can help people get the care they need.

How does this work exactly? Bc there’s a Nav Center at the corner of Barneveld & Jerrold and homeless living within one block radius that can’t be helped unless brought in by police. I call to ask for them to help those directly outside their door, they say they can’t.

The mismanaged Bayshore Navigation Center and its failed "Good Neighbor Policy" made the news the other night. I hope you and others continue to publicize the City's failures. No one will want a Navigation Center near them if the City doesn't shape up.https://twitter.com/sf_wallace/status/1167265678862077953 …

As we're painfully aware "Safe" and "Navigation Center" are a contradiction of terms and "Good Neighbor" exists in imagination only but it generates some nice vendor income and contracts.

This is not an excellent use of a parcel that is valued at $90 Million and is next to a crown jewel of San Francisco.

Remember when the champion warriors wanted to build a stadium there, but it would have 'blocked iconic views of the bridge'? I'm just insulted that our warriors team, my going to games and enjoying it wasn't deemed a good use of that land. But homeless encampment is.

@LondonBreed I support your efforts to address the homelessness issues in SF. There is no single solution to the underlying issues, but we must start somewhere. We need community support if we expect for our government to clean up our streets and help these citizens. -
This is not supported by the community

Once this is completed, what will be done to keep the drug addict criminals off the street and away from the public? Or will they get to come and go as they please, setting up drug camps in our neighborhoods? Most don’t want services, they want want free syringes and handouts
