Today the Board killed my Charter Amendment to streamline the creation of 100% affordable & teacher housing. It is estimated that per project it would have saved an average of 6-18 months and $1.5 to $6 million. This represents 6-22 more affordable homes per project.

I’m tired of people saying we’re in a housing crisis, then rejecting solutions that will make a difference. The status quo means less affordable housing will be built, more people will be priced out, and the crisis will only get worse. We have to do better for the people of SF.

Sounds like the government structure needs to be changed. Have to eliminate ineffective government with the ballot box. Like it or not, this WILL NOT happen until you get conservatives/libertarians in the local government.
