Should be a very expensive deal. “San Francisco construction costs are up more than 50 percent since 2015, and recently edged out New York City as the highest in the country. A unit of affordable housing costs between $600,000 and $800,000 to build”

If SF cannot begin building for at least 3 years, then voters should look at this as a fail. Modify construction plans of an existing structure, look for a 0 percent bridge loan from industry and foundations, then break ground in 12 months or less.

Meanwhile the Schlage Lock Project that was to build thousands of units, many affordable, right in front of transit, has been stalled for 3+ years in bureaucracy and permit mazes. Please look into your own city Dept’s as to how to move these projects along.

Surprised you didn’t throw a parade and invite your friends. Judge only by the results
