People have to learn that people outside of homeless shelters are overwhelmingly well-behaved people. They may look scary, but those are the people who have something to lose by misbehaving. Please push through and build this.
Please don't give into the pressure to make this necessary project smaller. Our unhoused neighbors need as much support as possible.
Having a conversation includes listening, not just telling the neighborhood why you want to do it. Really work with the neighborhood to re-craft the proposal for a neighborhood nav center that the community can support. Coalescing people around a plan leads to better solutions.
Mayor Breed, Nav Center should be build in remote areas by Candlestick Park, Cow Palace and not in tourist or residential area.
