You invite the drug addicts here to the drug haven of the world with free syringes, plentiful drug supply and zero consequences for their behavior. You let them terrorize the rest of us with their open air drug use and defecation all over the city. We’re tired of it.

If you enforced any rules or laws I would be all for this. You don't, so inviting more people to come to the neighborhood and break the law with no consequences is hard no.

You shouldn’t just build it anywhere because you’re desperate. Embarcadero is a face of the city, filled with tourists and high end restaurants. It’s irresponsible to have a homeless center there.

I’m on Embarcadero every day and can’t think of any place that would be better! It’s the ideal spot.

Sobriety First Housing Plus. Bring
@chrismegison to SF! When will our leaders@sfbos realize their design and approach is flawed? Answer: As long as we re-elect them, they will play the optics game. Strong optics from@LondonBreed but no results. All about the optics. -
Just as the addict in the home has family who love them, so
@LondonBreed and@sfbos love the 1000’s of#SanFrancisco addicts. The trap that you are in, that you can’t see, is CODEPENDENCY. It is sick codependency that destroys families...and so it is destroying SF. - 7 more replies

There is an equity issue, many unsheltered people are older, people of color who have faced a lifetime discrimination and redlining. Please build the Nav Center and help lift people out of homelessness. A shelter will improve the environment along the waterfront.

More important than building these facilities is how to tackle the communities fears & concerns of what happens around these navigation centers. Issues like poor city oversight, crime, drug use, and cleanliness.
-
Exactly my sentiments... there are no long term plans... just tactical actions that creates buzz for getting re-elected.
