Thanks for focusing on this crisis- these users/dealers are some of the most dangerous on our streets. Q: are u interested in getting the drug dealers off the street? Us neighbors in the Castro can point to a specific dealer. His name is Rodney and has pulled a knife on my wife
I'm really sorry to hear that. Drug dealing is unacceptable and we have work to do. I've been working with SFPD on a two-tiered approach of disrupting the inflow of drugs to the City and increasing enforcement against public drug dealing b/c we can't allow it to continue.

City agencies are also now out 5 days/week doing proactive outreach to people using drugs on the street to connect with services and help w/ detox and sobriety, which has shown early success. The Task Force will help us improve these efforts and recommend new ones moving forward.

Every day, I see open drug transactions take place. The other common scene is open drug use, people shooting up without a care in the world. All social norms have broken down here, it’s a humanitarian crisis. Dealers back on the street in days.

This is the most ridiculous thread I have ever seen you post - you can walk to the corner of Golden Gate and Larkin any point day or night and see gangs of dealers > 40 feet away from SFDEA Three blocks away from your City Hall office.
