I'm optimistic they can get the bill through the Legislature and I hope that our new Governor, who knows the challenges of this City so well, will support this public health solution. #AB362

Safe injection sites could make sense, if addicts were required to go there for clean needles + SF had enforcement against drug use in public. Safe spaces and clean needles for users in EXCHANGE for safe and clean streets for public. But, SF only ever offers carrots, no sticks.
-
@jnperri, that makes *way* too much sense. That would never fly here. God forbid we inconvenience addicts and impede their drug use in any way

SF had more intravenous drug users then high school students and you think this is “great news”

Good news, London, we're setting up the first site next door to you! Now you can personally oversee all the wonderful, diverse people injecting smack. What a treat!

Can we open a safe Botox injection site with a subsidized product? I am getting into an age group where I’d co sister dabbling

-
I’m 45...I consider Botox a life saving treatment and I will have no problem find the safe injection site either. I will even pick up one or two picket fence challenged neighbors and drop them on the zombie side.

Based on evidence that is questionable at best. I sincerely hope the federal government step in and stop this.
-
Not likely.

I respectfully disagree, and request a community forum to figure out a plan for helping addicts recover and get healthy, not a way to condone their unhealthy and deadly habits which bring criminal drug dealers everywhere.
