I've worked with the @SFPD to expand foot patrols in UN Plaza, Mid-Market, and Tenderloin, which research has shown to decrease assaults and thefts. I've invested in training 250 additional police officers and 90 dispatcher recruits to serve the City.
As I've said, we have more work to do to make our neighborhoods safe, strengthen ties between the police and our communities, and continue important reforms to the Department and I look forward to working with @SFPD to make it happen.
This is disgusting and it's very clear which "communities" you serve. I used to love UN Plaza / MidMarket but now I get harassed by cops every time I go down there. You're a maniac and you've made me feel less safe & welcome here.
