I've worked with the
@SFPD to expand foot patrols in UN Plaza, Mid-Market, and Tenderloin, which research has shown to decrease assaults and thefts. I've invested in training 250 additional police officers and 90 dispatcher recruits to serve the City.Show this thread -
As I've said, we have more work to do to make our neighborhoods safe, strengthen ties between the police and our communities, and continue important reforms to the Department and I look forward to working with

Just watched a mom running screaming down the 21st Street cuz her cell phone snatched by a hoodlum on J Church muni. How about periodic patrols on Muni cars? Esp when Mission High kids cause problems?
