San Francisco air quality is now Purple (very unhealthy). Everyone, especially people with medical conditions and respiratory diseases, should avoid outdoor activities if possible.

Small problem:
@sfmta_muni drivers leaving windows open on buses -
If the doors open and close constantly, the windows being open doesn't make much difference. Free Muni rides will still help to keep people from exerting themselves and limit time outside.

Exposed: Glaring
#AirPollution divide - at 217 PM 2.5 levels schools shut down, public transport made free, free masks in SF, US. In#Delhi at 250+ none of these emergency measures.pic.twitter.com/oFvnEkq8AH

Another divide is that Kolkata reaches the same levels and it doesn't even make it into the news much less result in free masks and no school!

Thank you Mayor Breed for the decision to make Muni free tomorrow. That’s what climate leadership looks like.

I encourage you to consider following
@Anne_Hidalgo’s lead in Paris and begin to ban cars on heavy pollution days. Even as our air quality is mostly impacted by wildfire smoke, cars perpetuate the problem by raising pollution levels even higher on top of this.Thanks. Twitter will use this to make your timeline better. UndoUndo

Thank you, Mayor Breed. Would you suspend enforcement of street cleaning parking laws? I have to go out in the toxic air just to move my car, as do thousands of others. Makes no sense.
