As mayor, what are you doing about it?

To start - clearing the backlog of Accessory Dwelling Unit applications, streamlining permitting for entitled projects, creating a modular housing facility in SF to build affordable housing quicker + for less, pushing to keep entitled projects from expiring. More to come.

Ms. Mayor, have you considered appointing members of the Planning Commission that will approve conforming projects as-is? Seems like many projects fail to advance even though they meet the objective standards of the planning code.

If only there was some sort of ballot proposition that would take money from rich companies and use it to deal with the homeless and housing crisis.

so why did you turn down Prop C, which outlines homeless spending that is predominately for affordable housing (hitting the root cause of the issue) and, which, establishes a continuous revenue stream toward affordable housing from corporations making 50 mil plus.

Only solution to this is more and more high rise apartment buildings. If we cannot go horizontal, we need to go vertical.

Madam Mayor, some suggestions: 1) Implement Use By Right - local groups should not be able to block construction that conforms to code 2) Scrap rent control to encourage property maintenance 3) Consider Japan's method of zoning by "maximum nuisance" instead of prescriptivism
