I hope these people get the help they need. I walk up 16th street at 4:45 am from BART to get to work. It is both sad and scary to come across these people. And it seems to be a more frequent occurrence of late.

Conservatorship means taking away people's right to be heard to say what they need, precisely when they need help most. San Francisco needs to grant practical, usable access to the mental health and housing services that people need first -- long before there is talk of coercion.
