We're adding five new Pit Stops (public restrooms) citywide and expanding hours at five locations. We're also increasing investments in our
@FixItTeamSF and the Downtown Streets Team to quickly address safety and cleanliness issues.Show this thread -
We're working with
@SFAIDSFound to hire 10 new workers to clean up syringes and adding 3 new needle disposal boxes. This month we announced a first in the nation Safe Injection Site demonstration at@GLIDEsf--these sites can reduce public drug use and provide access to treatment.Show this thread -
We must do more to help our homeless population get care and shelter, which is why I'm increasing funding for residential care facilities and leading the charge to reform our conservatorship laws to help those suffering from severe mental illness & addiction.

Looks as if you are on your way to the Conway(
@sfchronicle) office for a puff piece. Here is the deal. You should be doing this every day. This is the #1 problem the city faces. You also need an audit of how the budget is spent. We see few results.@TheMarinaTimes@TheBestNualaThanks. Twitter will use this to make your timeline better. UndoUndo

This is why I voted for
@LondonBreed. Because she’s willing to break convention to get the root of the problems in this city. It’s not about how progressive you are. It’s about how you build awareness around yourself to drive change!https://twitter.com/LondonBreed/status/1022585524312137729 …

So she walked a few blocks in SOMA and breaks the convention? I live in SOMA and have to walk in bike lanes to avoid the encampments/litter piles on the sidewalks. Hire police to enforce the laws on the books, if people don't feel welcome they won't stay.
