        I made an effort in the last two years to think verbally more because 1. It allows you to capture the details of thoughts for later recall alot better 2. reduces the delay between thinking and talking when trying to explain things to people Both thinking modes have their uses.

        yep -- I get definite spatial and structural "feels" about the logical and rhetorical forms of things. a bad argument just "feels" "shaky" like a structurally unsound building even when I can't (yet) verbally identify exactly what's wrong with it

        language is a second-order phenomenon even when the first-order phenomena are ideas or abstract forms rather than physical referents like buildings, so it's not too surprising thinking would involve some degree of "direct" awareness
