Not a big fan of only prize pool for top 8 teams at the major. And just realized - NO OPEN QUALIFIER FOR TI This is terrible. Dota has always been about the dream that ANYONE can make it there.

the idea of any non-established unknown team making the dream run is kinda like the american dream, it doesn't exist anymore. scenes gotta evolve

Exactly! That happened only in China The unknown teams lose that fake chance, but it reward the consistent teams. Which is better to a more professional scene

Everyone qualifying will still get a price from League in their respective areas right? It is confusing though. think the DPC point distribution is more messed up than money. Top team of League in SA gets same amount of DPC points than MAjor winner. 3 majors, 3x6 league wins

And i do understand the OQ part, however there is way easier and more sustainable access to new players and teams in this system right? Look at the TI Open Qualifier charts it is such a bloodshed that if the only hope is there it's actually not that much.

Well, since TI4 only. But I admit this change does suck for that reason.

Kind of agree it sucks for this reason, but I also think it's good for another reason. It stops big teams from disrespecting the rules all season, skipping events and breaking roster locks, and then still ending up at TI. For me that's a good thing.

But now they have systems in place for b teams to compete and make it right?

It's because of OG style of making into TI last minute would affect those players who are working harder year long to gain points. It's probably Valve's way of bringing teams after top8 into the scene. Open qualifier is rigged in a lesser competitive region

And the new talent won't get a second chance. Those with existing facilities have higher chance of winning these qualifiers than rest. The new system would boost the non tier1 scene. The new guys will get sponsors and could fight year long for TI. They need to increase pay.
