The speed was unofficially recorded by a mail van worker on board, using his stopwatch. On board the footplate was Charles Rous-Marten, who unofficially recorded times between two quarter-mile posts on the decent. Read more about City of Truro here:

🚧 The bridge was carefully removed from the ground it stood in for 47 years! 🤩 It is currently being conserved and cleaned ahead of being put back on display later in the year between Main Hall and New Hall at Locomotion.
