Its cool that politicians are trying to cover there butts now, they finally do this now when shit hits the fan. Where was this initiative 1 month ago or 1 year ago or a 10 years ago.
Today, #Minneapolis City Council members formally announced their commitment to end the MPD and create a new transformative model of public safety.

Why is it stupid ? Police is not an occupying army to be used against the minorities & poor. Community based policing should be where the tax payer money goes to. Finally they got their act together.
