A multilateral system of benefit-sharing for DSI was adopted by the parties last night at 3AM. The FAIR and CARE principles are acknowledged. An OEWG will be established to develop the process.

FAIR and CARE principles are now in, and unbracketed in the non-paper on item 11 on DSI. This may seem small but it is a HUGE step forward for operationalising Indigenous data sovereignty in genomics.
