      In 1928, P.R. was rakes with a Cat 5 from one end to the other. That storm went on to hit W Palm Beach & kill ~3,000 round Lake Okeechobee

      The last Cat 4 that came within 100 miles was Inez in 1966. Georges went from on end of the island to the other in 1998 as a Cat 2.

      Hugo was a Cat 3 in PR. Though it hit St Croix as a 4.

          The strongest storm ever measured in the Atlantic Ocean. Other comparable storms have been seen in the Caribbean, the Gulf, & the Pacific.
