I am sorry, but not agreeing with this situation is NOT hate it is called common sense. Think about all of the immigrants that are here legally, how they must feel. Not OK. She should have become legal as she obviously has the means. We have laws.
As a legal immigrant, who came in after a ton of paperwork, fees, time, and interviews, I can tell you exactly how I feel: cheated. I love this country, but people like Lizbeth Mateo make a mockery of the effort I made...

You do not belong in the USA. You’re breaking our laws every day you stay and now you have your hands in the taxpayers’ purse. It has nothing to do with race, either. Many countries do not allow illegal immigration and for good reason.
She's a human being who was brought here not by her own decision. Lay down your anger and realize we have one planet to share. I, for one, applaud and admire her.
She has a law degree, and been in this country how many years now? Why didnt she take the time to get her citzenship?
Kevin DeLeon is a cancer in this state, and the appointment of this woman is just another symptom. A country cannot be a country when it does not defend it's borders against invasion.

As someone who went thru the legal system to be here and become a US citizen I really don't understand how you can extol the virtues of being here illegally and advocate for more rights and representation for illegal aliens. By definition you are not right with the law.
In California undocumented people are part of the back bone of the state aka the 6th biggest economy in the world. When I see you and your family in the fields in Castroville for 16 hours a day then you can talk. She’s not aiding criminals she’s helping people become educated.
I thank you for service to this great nation but I’m not backing criminals. Neither is Mateo. Are you in California? Industry here has a long history of exploiting undocumented immigrants who work sometimes to death. They are some of the hardest working people you’ll ever meet.
