I am sorry. I went to a couple frat parties at Yale in ‘81. I have been struggling to remember details and I really can’t - I am sure I was inebriated but beyond that unclear. I do remember ending up in the living room of one by myself. I am a victim of other assaults & I

I have never felt strong. Only self-protective. I had to face my first assaulter, my father when I was 14. I had to stop him bc no one else would - he called me a liar. Maybe I was strong 4 that 1 moment. I am lucky. I am here. Doing what I want to do & hopefully helping others

Wtf! Are USA women really that subjugated to not rise and report? Is it really that dangerous? Seriously. Is this lack of reporting documented by the media? So disturbed by this. Naive? No. Decent.

Meanwhile, those who do report sexual assault face brutal retraumitizations, from police who often don’t understand how trauma fragments memories, to prosecutors who base their case on discrediting the women and smearing their characters. All for very very slim chance at justice

I was drugged by my ex who took photos of me without my knowledge or consent. When I discovered the revenge porn I had to report it, for other women, one of the most traumatic things I’ve done talking to the police rehashing that trauma.

Oh and the laws at the time, where not there 6 years ago. He walked away lying. So now I advocate for stopping revenge porn and educating others.

I do it because these predators will not stop. They get energy in some sick and twisted way to hurt others. Fucking deviant behaviors these people who do this. I turned that shit into a positive. Lots of therapy bills later to speak up about these crimes.

Have to ask: why hasn’t the National chapter of DKE shut this house down? This environment is toxic, & apparently has been for decades. And it looks like the DKEs just accept this as status quo. Maybe the prep boys are encouraged to join this frat to further their rape culture.

I have never personally verified this, but I was told multiple times in college that national fraternities aren’t allowed to shut down their founding chapters, and DKE was founded at Yale. Also, strong alumni network (Bush, Schwarzmann, etc)

I believe DKE was suspended at Yale a few years ago. Just suspended. No death penalty.

That happened the semester I got to Yale for their “No means Yes, Yes Means Anal” and “We love Yale Sluts.” All it meant in practice was they had to use gmails instead of yale email addresses. Technically DKE was “suspended” my entire time at Yale. You’d never know.

I call for the outlawing of all fraternities & sororities. These groups cause severe harm to many people. My brother went to MIT & pledged Kappa Sigma. This destroyed the close relationship we had as brothers. When he came home after his very first semester, he was a stranger.
