What attitude is that? The one that compels a person to abide the laws and policies in place at the time or the one that compels a person to use all tools available to protect US citizens? You do realize condemnation of Ms. Haspel equals condemnation of a good many career CIA.

I disagree. We probably disagree about the death penalty too. Proportionality must be considered: killing 3000 by flying an airplane into a building versus water boarding. With a son in the Army, I respect the argument that we must lead by example; still I want Haspel on watch

My husband had been in the military for 14 years. Water boarding hurt our investigations. Ask James Mattis, our Secretary of Defense, if you don’t believe me. He’s against water boarding because it doesn’t work.

I'm an Army vet. I don't condone torture. Moreover, the USA signed the Geneva Convention in 1949 banning torture. Read history- George Washington insisted prisoners be treated with dignity and respect, unlike the British.
