I was shocked when I first learned how many people die from the flu each year. I didn't understand why we weren't more serious about it, given the incredibly high rate of fatality. I didn't know until our son died. We have to do better.

It doesn’t resonate with people unless they see it first hand, that’s why
#forjudeforeveryone is so important. I tell all my patients who are hesitant to look it up; it can happen to anyone.
