Some of what you say, I've heard before being called "imposter syndrom". AFAIK I'm a slightly bit younger and less experienced than you. What me helps to deal with that part is recognition of my work by others, who I respect for their work.

About inequality... I think that is way the humanity is. It's hard to make changes without being in a position to hire people. Networking on it's own can be good for connecting people and building teams. People working in a dark closet the whole night are needed,but not only them

interesting video. I Myself have been pondering into starting a YT, or something alike to share my experience on IT SEC. and likewise i have been hesitant due i am not confident on my skill level. However and that said. Something i have learn is there are tools and ppl for that.

This video resonated a lot for me. I also struggle with how to tell people they should value work-life balance when I'm spending long periods of time writing code on weekends. Right now I'm at least trying not to over-index on that trait when I'm interviewing.

The other issue you brought up on how people with foreign sounding names can have a harder time despite having more "merit" is really important too. I've always operated on the "be so good they can't ignore you" principle, but that's easy as a white guy in the US.
