I knew it, Stanley Kubrick was killed because of his film Eyes Wide Shut! From what I have read, "they" removed about 20 minutes of the film because it was too revealing.

It’s not just the fact that the balloon is dropping due to otherwise normal Earth gravity but all the astronauts are standing in place instead of floating. That’s the real clincher.
