Imagine the ground is frozen 3 feet deep and a shovel can barely dig a grave. How hard to have to delay a morning for warmer weather. A friend lost his wife on Xmas to MS and had to also wait to April for a service

Both my grandmother's died in February in a cold climate. The cemetery can't inter until spring.

Thank you, but one was in 2004 and the other in 2010. I was just making the point about winter deaths.

Also, for one we didn't have a memorial dinner until August and school vacation so more relatives could come from all over.
