I just spoke with Judge Kavanaugh congratulating him on Senate confirmation to serve as Associate Justice on the Supreme Court.
I told Judge Kavanaugh I was very happy he was recognized for the good man he is, but sad that the process was so despicable.
I’m very pleased the Senate has rejected Democrats’ request to call additional witnesses after the House chose not to.
As I have stated, this is not an impeachable offense and the witnesses sought by the House managers were available to them in the House.

After much deliberation, I have decided that I will not use my presence at a state ceremony to normalize Trump’s lawless conduct & subversion of the Constitution.
