I have zero intention of following Stevens counsel. In fact, statements like this epitomize out-of-touch liberals who do not appreciate the important role the Second Amendment has played – and continues to play – in our nation.
FYI, Lindsey-former Justice John Paul Stevens is a Republican appointed by Republican. He’s certainly no “out of touch liberal”. Watching you all turn on him is a sad testament to how extremist and beholden to the gun lobby the GOP has become.

Most people don't want to repeal the 2nd amendment, Senator. We want simple things like refusing to take gun manufacturer lobby money, and universal background checks. If you won't even address our concerns we will vote you out. You work for us!
