Passage of a law banning collective guilt for Poland’s role in the Holocaust is disappointing.
The near complete extermination of a proud Jewish population in Poland was one of the most tragic legacies of World War II. There is no way to ever fully make amends for this human tragedy.
However, passing laws that restrict the ability of current and future generations to fully examine the past will not erase history.
In order to ensure history does not repeat itself, countries should not erect obstacles to self-examination. #neveragain
