Well-deserved Congressional Gold Medal awarded to my dear friend @SenatorDole. Bob was my national campaign chairman when I first ran for the Senate. He has been helpful to me at every step of the way.
He was a giant of the Senate, Republican nominee for president, and a war hero. Most importantly, @SenatorDole has always remained that decent, hardworking, great sense of humor young man from Kansas. Congratulations Bob and Elizabeth.
He has done so much to be recognized for, even greeting Honor Flight visitors to the WWII memorial. I remember when he was chairman, interesting, your history with him.Senator Dole has certainly remained loyal to the GOP.
