I hope President Trump is right in his belief that Turkeys invasion of Syria is of no concern to us, abandoning the Kurds won’t come back to haunt us, ISIS won’t reemerge, and Iran will not fill the vacuum created by this decision.

However, I firmly believe that if President Trump continues to make such statements this will be a disaster worse than President Obama’s decision to leave Iraq.

I worry we will not have allies in the future against radical Islam, ISIS will reemerge, & Iran’s rise in Syria will become a nightmare for Israel. I fear this is a complete and utter national security disaster in the making and I hope President Trump will adjust his thinking.

The statements by President Trump about Turkey’s invasion being of no concern to us also completely undercut Vice President Pence and Sec. Pompeo’s ability to end the conflict.

PRESIDENT GEORGE W. BUSH SIGNED THE AGREEMENT TO LEAVE IRAQ! PRESIDENT TRUMP ABANDONED THE KURDS WITHOUT EVEN GIVING THEM WARNING! DO YOU GET THE FUCKING DIFFERENCE?

To be clear, you're advocating that Obama should have stayed in Iraq IN VIOLATION of an agreement George W. Bush signed with the Iraqi government. How do you think that would have gone over with the Iraqis?

If I recall, Bush is the one who signed the SOFA. All Obama did was make sure it was followed. Why is that so hard for some people to understand.

For the last time, Lindsey; the date for the Iraq pullout was set by George W. Bush. Obama requested a delay in leaving, but the Iraquis would have none of it, so we left at the appointed time. The American people are not as stupid as you would like think.

Thank you. Specifically it was the Status of Forces (SOF) agreement. The Iraqis made clear they would not change it. Their legislature even voted on it. The Bush administration said the US would respect their legislature's decisions on US status.

And then the GOP refused to vote for an extension which Obama wanted. These clowns do nothing but put party over country. Wait that’s not fair. They also lie about it.
