This is the only win-win situation available for the Korean peninsula, United States, and the world at large. Legitimizing a nuclear arsenal in the hands of an unstable, erratic despot will never be an acceptable outcome.

Actually, the NYT article made no such claim. It said that where the administration is HEADED in DPRK policy may “amount” to a freeze deal...which is accurate, and a concern shared by many inside and outside of Admin. Article explicitly says freeze is NOT Admin policy. Fwiw.
