Because depriving one universally hated US citizen of the right to vote really means depriving hundreds of thousands of US citizens who are imprisoned for minor offenses of the right to vote
Because it's not about Dylann Roof voting, it's about people imprisoned for having some pot on them essentially losing their citizenship.
Being imprisoned had consequences!!! Losing your right to vote is one of them.
