President Trump will close ports of entry and redeploy forces soon. The best way to avoid this situation is to change US laws that encourage them to come in the first place.

The situation at southern border is beyond crisis and extremely dangerous.
Democrats need to work with Republicans and President @realDonaldTrump to change our laws which have led to this onslaught from ‘triangle’ countries.

Why didn’t the Republicans work to fix this in the two years you held the majority? You passed ZERO legislation on this issue. You clearly weren’t working on an ACA replacement—why didn’t you do anything in 2016-17 to solve this terrible “crisis”?
