Presidents Bush, Obama, and Trump have all sent troops to help secure the border in the past. What’s the difference between troops securing the border and troops constructing barriers to secure the border?

I’m hopeful we can reach a deal between President Trump and Congress, which would be the best way forward.

So in the future, whenever a POTUS can't get Congress to give then what they want, you'll be OK with declaring a National Emergency and over riding Congress. And you call yourself a Constitutionalist?
-
This IS a National Security for two reasons. 1. The hatred of our President interferes with their thinking and puts America and it's people at risk. 2. They illegals are no longer sneaking in a few at a time but in droves.

Fine. Call for your non-emergency so it can get tied up in the courts like all of the presidents business dealings. That way we can move on from this. You know full well 5 billion isn’t going to cover the cost of the wall. It will take 30+ billion minimum.

And 10+ years to build...

How is it an emergency if you wait for two months to “declare” it? How is that legal? If it was a real emergency you’d declare it right away like a hurricane or forest fire
twist the laws all you want you had two years. U even passed a bill but DT said no
-
they've already had 2 yrs when they had total control to do it, and they didn't....why because even the GOP know there is NO EMERGENCY at the border
