However, I currently do not see a path in Congress – given the recent statements of @SpeakerPelosi and the inability to use regular order in the Senate -- to fund a wall.

You’re a smart man. Read this. If Trump uses this “power” unprecedented, at some pt in the not to distance future, a left wing POTUS will do the same except they may use it to shutter coal power plants to “save us.” Maybe think a little Senator. It’s sound advice.

Absolutely - this. Encouraging him to declare an emergency is yet another step to empowering the President - current and future - to be uncontrolled and uncontrollable (whoever he/she may be).

It's funny how we can see a path through Congress. Pass a budget. Negotiate a wall only after the govt is funded. But no, you'd rather lunge for a naked power grab that would forever alter the system of checks and balances. You're a facist and you have no place in our govt.
