He is right to push back in order to deter future waves of illegal immigration.

I support President Trump’s decision to close the border until we can get a handle on the chaos created by the broken laws governing asylum. We must have money for border security/wall and must change asylum laws.

Nonsense, the Border is so strong in CA that these desperate people were NOT able to breach and escape in to the US! Now let's get the resources there to process them legally into the Asylum and Refugee Programs. And pass CIR, it has many fixes to our broken Immigration!

Is that how laws work? I thought that our laws allow people to apply for asylum. Can the president just not allow that? If you want to change the laws, you are in Congress. I don’t think

These people don't meet the definition of "refugee". They aren't fleeing a war, they aren't being persecuted for their raace, religious or political views. They weren't forced from their country.
