This is a case of ‘first impression’ and I support President @realDonaldTrump's efforts to have the Court review this matter.

Lindsey, go find a boyfriend and retire. You have lost your mind.

He is 100% right! The Supreme Court has never ruled on the 14th. It has nothing to do with illegal aliens or their children. It was written in 1866, right after the end of the Civil War. It gave citizenship to the children of slaves who had been freed.

Children born to Legal Immagrants never questioned , the births of illegal immigrants has been questioned before but not by Supreme Court! I believe our fore fathers ment this to apply to legal immagrants not those illegal! Times changed and we must protect our country!

So much for “originalist” interpretation of the language contained in the constitution. Let’s make this very clear, you servile little dandy: THE PRESIDENT CANNOT USE AN EXECUTIVE ORDER TO CHANGE THE CONSTITUTION! This is dangerous radical right-wing extremism; its authoritarian!

Very much appreciate your strong stance on this issue, Senator. It’s long past time for congress to clearly define the 14th amendment as only applying to legal residents of the US.

The Legislative Branch of government does NOT interpret the Constitution. That job belongs to the Judicial branch.
