I have repeatedly said Judge Brett Kavanaugh is one of the most highly qualified people who has ever been nominated to serve on the Supreme Court. I doubt any person nominated to the Court has ever been looked at as closely as Judge Kavanaugh.
I personally know all I need to know about this fine man who is incredibly capable and qualified. I am ready to vote on his nomination now.
Having said that, I respect my colleagues who have requested the supplemental FBI investigation, which will be limited in scope and time. It can be done quickly and then we will be able to move forward to an up-or-down vote in the Senate next week.

Here’s a nominee inexplicably spending more than he earns, with such a pronounced right bias he’s been dinged for it, who lies and has lied, and who has been accused of sexual assault. Calling him one of the most highly qualified people is an insult to all other justices.
Even party stooge John Roberts is likely uncomfortable with the nomination of super stooge Brett Kavanaugh. Real SCOTUS justices won't comment, because they know their role. Kavanaugh does not.

Well, Flake is no hero. He was confronted by two women and a camera, and couldn't look them in the eye. The camera made this happen. He was shamed into asking for the investigation. He didn't really stand up for justice. Those two women are the real heroines.
So you a comfortable voting him in without an FBI investigation? Why are you so quick to vote him him? Do you know that many sexual assault victims never come forward? Why would you not take this one seriously?
Have you even tried to look at all the evidence yourself? I'm guessing not.

That would be you, sir. How many investigations need to be done? There's not even enough evidence to start a local PD investigation, but the FBI should do another on Kavanaugh? Just to make sure the other SIX didn't find anything?
Well to start, I'm a female. 2nd, this is new information, right? What do you do with new information on a case? You don't just say, oh well investigations have already been done so let's ignore this. New information requires new investigation. If it's a ploy it will show.

I don’t care abt his education or his reputation as an adult. I care Kavanaugh drank to excess in HS couldn’t remember what happened. I care that he lied to Congress. I care that @GOP senators are willing to overlook all that just to get someone beholden to Trump on the court
You do realize he didn't drink to excess in high school, right? On the other hand, before she was totally scrubbed from the Internet, Ms. Ford bragged publicly about her 6 year alcoholic stupor from age 16 to 22.
But she does not have anyone claiming sexual assault, or any crimes, against her during those years, or at all. The drinking isn't the issue, it's the actions caused by it. There is a larger issue here than alcohol.
That's true. And it's high time we stick as close to the facts as we can in the face of the up tempo media circus and political electioneering. The only relevance Ford's young adult behavior would be if it affected her memory. And that's a 'maybe, maybe not" for now.
While not admissible in court, polygraphs are used for employment purposes by some gov't agencies, including the FBI as part of the background investigation for FBI candidates. A SCOTUS nominee should be held to a higher standard than an FBI agent.
