My first experience of workplace sexual harassment was when my mom got her first real office job after graduating from college when I was in high school. She was so excited to be taken “seriously.” Her bossed isolated her and kissed her. She never had that type of job again.

Not knowing what to expect what’s the most upsetting part aside from knowing that no one would do a damn thing even when they saw it. No one. And I *know* I am not the only woman.

I’m angry to be put in this situation at all. That because I am a woman, I can work hard my whole life to better myself and help others and yet still fall victim as countless women over generations have. Mostly silently. I hate that some men, like
@NYGovCuomo abuse their power.Show this thread

Many women have made these accusations about the Governor but won’t go publicly with them. Even heard he joked around about a lesbian advocate who he’d love to sleep with, but she wouldn’t sleep with him. Room was filled with male staffers who just laughed it off.

@NYGovCuomo should address this harassment and then resign. -
He should, but he won’t. I doubt Lindsey was the only woman to receive this treatment. And Dems have been going out of their way to sing his praises despite the fact his handling of the pandemic has been every bit the unmitigated disaster it has on the national level.

This is very brave. I'm sorry you ever had to endure this. You are courageous & strong to come forward & continue to fight in the public arena in NY. When I began to follow your race against Nadler, I saw that in you. Stay strong, Lindsey. Keep fighting the good fight.

No, -brave- would have been speaking out at the time, not at some convenient later date. There is absolutely nothing brave about coming forth with safety in numbers, under the right political circumstances. Quite the opposite.
