  1. As Governor I fought for gay marriage and am proud to have won that fight. Today the war for civil rights won another battle in our courts. Thank you to the justices who guaranteed employment protection for the LGBT community. There are more battles, but pride is winning.

  15. On my first day as Governor, I rescinded E-Verify in Rhode Island. E-Verify is regulation at its worst. It is not the Federal Government's job to stop businesses from hiring people who want to work. Libertarians want an America open for business and labor.
