I just had a great conversation with @venkvis, the technical advisor for @QuantumScapeCo and also on their Scientific Board.
I've moved from skeptical to catiously optimistic...
1) Venkat confirmed that most of the cells were the same cell, with a few exceptions. Which addresses my concerns about specific cells for specific tests. He welcomed my feedback and it sounds like this will be made more clear in the future.
2) The goal of course is to reduce the stack pressure as much as possible. However, at 3 atmospheres, negligible impact on pack weight.
3) There will be more data in the future which may address my concerns about multi-layer cells.
4) A gel electrolyte is used. I don't know how this works and I'm eager to see how this plays out with the data
5) Overall, I still think the IPO and presentation was a bit premature and the stock is overvalued, but from a technical standpoint I'm not as fraught about the company as I was before.
