People are talking about growing up watching anime on Crunchyroll, Funimation, and YouTube but I'm old enough to remember having to spend $40 for three episodes of a series on VHS

"You see, you don't actually own a digital game, it's just a license that let's you play it. The publisher can take that away at any time and revoke your access. They can't take away your physical games. That's why physical games are better: you actually own your physical games."

My favorite console of all time is the SEGA Dreamcast. I bought my Dreamcast on 9/9/99, and since then, I've managed to collect every game released for the system worldwide.

I think at this point we've turned down about 30 offers for Limited Run Games NFTs. The answer will always be no. We didn't like digital "ownership" before the blockchain, and the blockchain doesn't suddenly make it any more appealing.

I recently completed my US PS1 collection, and I hadn't been able to share it yet. Here it is - every PS1 game released in the US (and a few EU and JP imports)!

Here's something about the Scott Pilgrim K.O. Edition we haven't mentioned yet that is actually pretty exciting: The strategy guide inside? It's coming from Prima Games. Yeah, that's right - we're resurrecting one of the biggest strategy guide brands. Don't miss out on this!

The Switch carts just landed from Japan! I've verified that the correct patch is on the cartridge. Off to final assembly they go. Standard editions should start shipping to all of you sometime next week!

We got the keys for our Limited Run Games retail store today. We're gonna start renovations soon! My best guess at when we'll open is September because we want to have a huge grand opening and I'm hoping it'll be safe by then.

Happy 25th anniversary to the Nintendo 64! It's the console that inspired me to want to make games for a living. I had a "company" in elementary school where we sold VHS "strategy guides" of N64 games. Last year, I managed to complete a full worldwide N64 collection.

Don't sleep on Vitamin Connection. It's a Switch exclusive that was *built for the Switch*. It actually utilizes that infrared feature in the Joycon that I think only two other games bother to use. We funded this game after it lost its original publisher.Very happy to release it!

We have officially purchased our first retro game IP at Limited Run and it is as baffling as everything else I do. I am looking forward to remastering and re-releasing it.

We got our first two Xbox One test discs in the mail today (both are unannounced upcoming releases that people will be very excited about). After seven years of trying to get on the platform, it's surreal to finally be holding a physical Xbox game we're publishing!

I did it! I have a complete US and PAL exclusive Sega Saturn set (only notable omission is a CIB BattleSport if anyone wants to trade or sell me one). Sorry this isn't alphabetized. I don't have the time to devote to that yet!

So yeah, the cat's out of the bag. Limited Run Games officially owns the rights to Plumbers Don't Wear Ties and a remaster is coming to several platforms. Everyone questioned my sanity for this along the way, haha.

This only applies to copies published by us, btw, so you won't find this coupon in the European or Asian releases. This was a heck of a lot of work to figure out and pull off!

First image of our new Sega CD/Saturn/PS1 longbox jewel cases. They're real! No test shot of the tray piece yet (the black piece) but we should see that soon. These are made in the US just like the originals and are exactly to spec. We didn't spare any expense on the molds.

Six years ago today, we launched our first game ever and officially kicked off . It's been an extremely wild journey since then and I've gotten to work on games that I never could have dreamed of releasing. Thank you to everyone that has supported us!

Protip for folks who never knew: the purple mark on Super Nintendo boxes means "Open me from this side". Same thing applies for our Iconoclasts CE - there are no locking tabs on the right side flap!

With #E3Cancelled, I might as well spoil our biggest E3 announcement - we're partnering with Infinium Labs, Inc. to finally release their long awaited, hotly anticipated, and definitely real "Phantom" game console.

Today has been a good day - I was able to play several PS1 games on Switch through the Carbon Engine! This is going to open a ton of new options for future re-releases. If I had full access to the PS1 library, what games would you want to see on the Switch?

The retail store is really starting to take shape. It's hard for me to not get excited at this point. Owning a physical game store has been a dream of mine since I was a kid, so this is literally a dream come true.

My biggest 3DS regret - which I doubt I'll ever get over - is that I never managed to get in touch with Level-5 to propose an "Attack of the Friday Monsters" physical release.

The Nintendo 64 is the console that set me on a path to working in video games. It came out when I was in third grade, and my friends and I started a "company" by making a VHS strategy guide to Mario 64. It felt like a necessity to collect a complete set for it, so I did.

There was no bigger disappointment than dropping $40 on a series that looked cool only to find out it was a total dud or that you accidentally bought a later volume in a series and would inevitably have no idea what was happening.

Welp, I just placed what may very well be our final PlayStation Vita order with Sony. 22 games - the vast majority of which we haven't announced yet. We'll be slowly releasing these throughout 2019 and then it's the end of the line for our beloved friend, the Vita.

If you send me death threats and expletive laden DMs when a game sells out, there's a 100% chance I'm not going to feel compelled to try and help you. I am not sure what DMs like this are meant to accomplish.

I don't want to jinx anything, but some of the projects we are looking into right now are insane -- it's a lot of Scott Pilgrim level stuff. I hope it all pans out. 🤞

After years of hard work and persistence, I finally managed to sign some huge games that absolutely wouldn't have seen a physical release otherwise. I fully expect some people to be upset that they have to buy them from us, but these truly wouldn't exist any other way.

The retail store will be open for business in Cary, NC in April 2022! We look forward to seeing everyone in-store some time. (Shelves are empty right now because we still have another four months before we open, but we'll be fully stocked for the grand opening)

Happy 22nd birthday to my favorite console of all time - the Sega Dreamcast! I love it so much that I own all 600+ unique games that released in the console in the US, Europe, and Japan! I need to find a better way to shelve my Japanese games (and some time to alphabetize them).

After a year of struggle and *a lot* of lost money, our only Wii U release will arrive at our office this month. We won't make anything on it (or even come close to breaking even), but at least it'll actually see the light of day.
