Dude, yes. I've made 4 legendaries on my mage already.
Honestly my biggest gripe this expansion is that soul ash is used for ranking up legendary items. Not gating the upgrades and having them pull from the same source stifles experimentation I would love to be able to try out Arcane but I will just make my guy worse as Fire. Wack.

That's been the problem since legion. Spending time on alts/offspecs means your main suffers and that shouldn't be the case.

Every expansion since Legion has been more punishing to players who play offspecs competitively. It's bad, but time eventually sorts it out, or there's a catchup. But Covenants, though. Being the wrong Covenant is the logical conclusion, since there is zero catchup mechanic.

Once you get the main spec lego to max itll not be a issue though. The whole dedication to a specific playstyle bonus Ion has brought up which i don’t think is terrible.

It's not terrible in a perfectly balanced theory world. But the issue with AOTC/CE raiding is that everyone wants you to be optimized. I jammed all my resources into frost to begin which is obviously suboptimal now and it shows.

SoulAsh should really be on the same system as conquest. Can just grind it out. Cap goes up weekly.
