So say I'm a moonkin main and play with one covenant that is like above and beyond best for Balance, but I play Restoration in M+ and Resto has a different covenant that is so wildly sick for it... Blizzard makes swapping covenants super difficult. What do I do?

It was the same thing with azerite. 9/10 times you respec azerite because you are going to play another spec or do a different activity. I assume we aren't supposed to enjoy different specs or game modes. This is the result of wanting to make wow more of an RPG instead of MMORPG.pic.twitter.com/epksAHVlZ1
Ask yourself what the lesson learned here was. I think it was probably the wrong one.

Yeah, I don't really understand the whole "we're trying to make it RPG like where choices matter", when Classic was peak RPG era for wow and didn't have anything even close to restrictive like this.

THATS NOT TRUE. Gear itself was the restriction. That and if a class had more than one viable spec it was a miracle in classic. In Classic you were lucky enough to get one spec completely geared. Please don't say "WAH CLASSIC DID IT BETTER" and not understand how or the why

Do some reading on golf equipment, the PGA tour and amateurs. This approach looks like where they have landed after 30 years of trial and error. The meta will adjust after time and just like tour pros it’s not ideal for pro $ but good for most players.

The current system would have you choose one golf club to play with for the entire game. There are many different types for different jobs (putters, iron, driver, etc) but you only get one type and that's what you have to stick with.
